Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority – may God protect him -, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is organizing the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence (WSAI) in its third edition during the period From 7 to 9 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to 10 to 12 September 2024 AD, at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh.
His Excellency the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince for this generous sponsorship to support the work of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence in its third edition, stressing that this comes within the framework of His Highness’s permanent and continuous support for SDAIA to carry out With its main tasks in leading the national data and artificial intelligence file and making optimal use of these advanced technologies in a way that enhances the Kingdom’s international position in this field and achieves its leadership.
His Excellency said: “This summit comes after the great successes achieved by the first and second editions during the years 2020 and 2022, under the generous patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – and the summit in its third edition is distinguished by the breadth of its axes that cover aspects of international interest in data and artificial intelligence in light of the rapid development.” Its technologies and their overall impact on the individual and institutional levels.
In its third edition, the Summit is scheduled to discuss a number of topics, most notably: innovation and industry in the field of artificial intelligence, and the turning points for shaping a better future for artificial intelligence, with the importance of developing an environment that stimulates human energies in this field, and branches out from them, focusing on: artificial intelligence at the level Local and global, the complementary relationship between human and artificial intelligence, AI business leaders, the relationship between data and applications, generative AI, AI ethics, AI processors and infrastructure, AI and smart cities.
His Excellency called on senior specialists in artificial intelligence technologies and influential policy and systems makers in building these technologies from various countries of the world to participate in this summit to present ideas and visions that contribute to setting general frameworks that govern the use of artificial intelligence technologies in a way that achieves the desired benefit from them and to find adequate solutions. By overcoming the various challenges of these technologies, he also called on those interested in data technologies, artificial intelligence, and innovators to attend the summit, the outcomes of which will be reflected positively, with the help of God Almighty, at the local level of the Kingdom and the international level, based on enhancing the Kingdom’s effective role in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030, which contributes to Achieving good for all humanity.
His Excellency stated that this summit is the result of the achievements of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God support him – as it will be the world’s compass towards Riyadh to learn about the latest developments in artificial intelligence from international decision makers, their excellencies ministers, and heads of organizations. International bodies, CEOs of major technology companies in the world, and elite data and artificial intelligence scientists who will enrich the main summit with what is happening globally about artificial intelligence developments, in addition to the announcements and signing of local and international agreements that the summit will witness, which will be the nucleus for launching international initiatives on behalf of the Kingdom in the field of data and artificial intelligence. .
His Excellency explained that the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence in its third edition is in line with the vision and aspirations of His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – for the Kingdom to be a leading global model in the field of artificial intelligence.
