The Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association in the Mokattam neighborhood in Egypt held an iftar party for the Azerbaijani community in the presence of the Azerbaijani ambassador in Cairo and some members of the community and their families in Egypt. The breakfast ceremony was also attended by the founding members of the association.
At the beginning, Dr. Seymur Nasirov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association, welcomed the attendees.
During his speech at the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cairo, Dr. Elkhan Plokhov, expressed his admiration for the month of Ramadan in Egypt and that Ramadan in Egypt is different from other countries. The Ambassador also referred during his speech to Egyptian-Azerbaijani relations.
During his speech, he also thanked the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association for presenting such celebrations and organizing such events that contribute to consolidating relations and increasing family ties between the Azerbaijani community and their Egyptian family.
In appreciation of the role played by the association, the Ambassador praised the association’s role in consolidating the cultural and scientific relationship between the two countries.
Then the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Seymur Nasirov, spoke about the association’s role in consolidating relations between the two peoples through many activities provided by the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association.
More than 600 students, male and female, from 57 nationalities, study at the association, nearly half of whom are Egyptians. They study the various sciences and arts, the most important of which is the Holy Qur’an with its intonation and its ten frequent minor and major recitations with a chain of transmission traceable back to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
As well as the sciences of the Arabic language, such as grammar, morphology, rhetoric, and logic.
As well as some other languages such as Azerbaijani and English, writing, reading and speaking.
Among the arts are the art of Arabic calligraphy in its various types throughout the ages, the art of Islamic decoration in both its floral and geometric aspects, as well as the art of handmade carpets and the art of vocal levels.
All the costs and preparations of the Iftar was FREELY all the Egyptians and Azerbaijanis.
