At the sunset on the sixteenth day of Ramadan, corresponding to the twenty-sixth of March, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Cairo held an iftar banquet sponsored by Mr Ambassador Dr. Al-Khan Polokhov in an atmosphere of love and harmony among the guests of Egypt and Azerbaijan as usual annually during the month of fasting.
The Iftar ( breaking fast in Ramadan) was attended by journalists, intellectuals and media figures, and Ambassador Polokhov delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and praised the bilateral relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan, pointing out the similarities between the two countries, such as the spirit of affection and the invitations between families and friends to break their together in the holy month.
The Iftar was held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to the beat of classical music, amid exchange of friendly conversations between the invitees and Ambassador Al-Khan.
