The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to the League of Arab States (LAS), Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Matar, praised the statements of Mr. Amr Moussa, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, regarding the Palestinian issue, describing them as “important” for the governments of the Arab countries and their firm position on recognizing the Palestinian state.
Ambassador Al-Matar commented, saying: The most important point pointed out by His Excellency Minister Amr Moussa is “the Kingdom’s position on proposing a solution to the issue and the dispute in it, which is to stop the occupation first of all and then negotiate normalization in a way that suits the Palestinian state to guarantee its full rights.”
Ambassador Al-Matar added: “This is what put America and the occupying aggression in a dilemma of weakness and submission to accepting what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia demanded to resolve the issue, which is what Mr. Amr Moussa referred to in his speech as requirements for resolving the crisis through governments, parties, and others.”
Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Mattar also described the statements of the jurist of Arab and international diplomacy, saying: “The call of Mr. Amr Moussa to the Arab and Islamic countries to agree with the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not to divide and separate at a time like this, which must be one word and decision led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” pointing out to some Unfortunately, governments and groups do not favor this position, but we ask God for our brothers in Palestine for help, patience, and victory, God willing, until stability prevails in the entire region.”
