And with each party insisting on continuing the war until achieving the declared goals that have not been achieved so far, with the emergence of Arab and international peace calls and initiatives to end that war, and this coincided with the escalation of the Israeli occupation’s incursion of aggression into Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, leaving more than a hundred thousand dead, wounded and missing, and a million And half displaced. Amidst the varying positions of the parties to the war and its supporters. The United States and Europe, which support Ukraine against what they describe as the Russian occupation, support the unlimited Israeli occupation and aggression against the Gaza Strip, at a time when Russia, which says it is defending its national security, has supported the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation.

Ambassador Mykola Nahorny: Ukraine desires peace in exchange for its lands up to the border

Ukraine’s ambassador to Egypt, Mykola Nahorny, said that his country wants comprehensive and urgent peace and the withdrawal of Russian forces from all its territories.

Ambassador Mykola Nahorny condemned what he described as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, saying, “Two years ago, specifically on February 24, 2022, the world watched in horror as the outbreak of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, shattering peace on the European continent.” He added, “This brutal, prolonged war has caused aggression and disregard for the law.” International, caused enormous suffering to the Ukrainian people, claimed many innocent lives and destabilized the world order.

Ambassador Mykola Nahorny explained that this war did not actually start in 2022, saying that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine dates back to 2014, with the temporary occupation of the Crimean Peninsula and the invasion of the Donbass region.

Mykola Nahorny stressed that the unity of our countries that support democracy and freedom condemned the Russian aggression that violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and all free countries that believe in freedom, in solidarity with the brave people of Ukraine.

Nahorny continued, “This war has serious consequences that go beyond European borders.” It threatens the fundamental principles of international law and the rules-based global order. They also undermine global food security, posing major challenges to other innocent people around the world, including in Egypt.

Nahorny continued, and in this spirit, and with awareness of the fact that this war is not just a regional conflict, the free world stands with Ukraine not only for its sake, but for the protection of the principles of international law that guide us in all international conflicts, including the ongoing war in Gaza, and we remain committed to We pledge to abide by it.

Ambassador Mykola Nahorny, the Ukrainian ambassador to Cairo, confirmed that his country has achieved superiority in the field of military production thanks to the support of the allies, and that Kiev is now able to protect the military industries currently active in his country from the dangers of Russian attacks, noting that the war in Gaza has diverted global attention from the war in Ukraine.

Mykola Nahorny said that his country wants a comprehensive and urgent peace and the withdrawal of Russian forces from all its lands. He expressed his hopes for activating President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative, in order to achieve a ceasefire and bring peace. Nahorny warned that Russia’s next stops will be the Baltic republics, the Caucasus and Central Asia, which raises serious concern for the international community, and Ukraine wants to end this war as soon as possible, explaining that President Zelensky proposed a peace initiative consisting of ten items aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine. Four meetings were held with the participation of eighty countries and international organizations with the aim of preparing a peace summit at the invitation of the presidents of Ukraine and Switzerland. It is proposed that it be held half of this year in Switzerland with the participation of heads of governments and states. This summit will work to form nine committees to work on the Ukrainian peace formula.

The Ukrainian ambassador to Cairo, Mykola Nahorny, announced that the number of deaths among the Russian army during the war on Ukraine so far has reached 400,000 dead, in addition to hundreds of thousands of wounded.

On the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the Russian war, the Ukrainian ambassador said: I do not think that Russia will stop this war, noting that the number of Russian soldiers participating in the war amounts to 500,000 fighters.

He explained that the war with Moscow began ten years ago after the Russian aggression on Ukrainian lands, and that Ukraine is suffering as a result of this war and is exposed to an economic and demographic tragedy and great losses that cannot be counted.

The ambassador said: These losses are also losses to countries of the whole world, economically, in food security, in energy, and on the humanitarian level as well, stressing that the war affected the global economic situation, food markets in Africa, security, energy, and humanitarian aspects, after Russia violated all agreements.

The Ukrainian ambassador announced that Russia aims to occupy all of Ukrainian territory, while Ukraine aims to liberate the land, noting that Russia is trying to recruit mercenaries from Arab and African countries.

Nahorny explained that Russia manufactures the missiles and missiles used in the conflict, noting that some of these missiles were delivered from Ukraine in accordance with previous agreements.
