A- Testimonials and analyses about the conference:

The Munich Security Conference, traditionally a celebration of the US-led post-World War II international order, is now reflecting America’s political turmoil. The event began on Friday after former President Donald Trump threatened not to defend European allies in case of an attack by Russia. There are concerns about the US’s ability to continue providing defense assistance for Ukraine and increasing American isolation over its support for Israel’s war in Gaza. The event may be overshadowed by the ghosts of Munich’s past, such as authoritarianism, appeasement, and antisemitism. The conference will also hear questions over unprecedented challenges to global rules and regulations. Trump’s threat to not automatically defend European allies in case of Russia’s attack is a cornerstone of NATO’s founding treaty. The additional US funding for Ukraine’s fight remains stalled in Congress, with House Republicans aligning with Trump, who opposes military aid. The White House plans to use Harris’ engagements in Munich to emphasize the Biden administration’s solid support for NATO, a stark contrast to Trump’s remarks.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Yi opens fire on the congressmen in Munich
China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, has criticized Germany’s approach to de-risking China by shutting it out of the trade. He argued that the absence of cooperation is the biggest risk and that shutting China out in the name of de-risking would be a historic mistake. Wang also emphasized that the world economy is like a big ocean that cannot be cut into isolated lakes and that the trend toward economic globalization cannot be reversed. He emphasized the need to collaborate to make globalization more universally beneficial and inclusive. Wang also defended China against allegations of forced labor in the western Xinjiang region, where it is accused of running labor transfer programs for Uyghurs and other Turkic minorities. He was accused of using “fabricated information from different parties” and claimed that the aim was to stop China’s development. In addition to his support for the two-state solution and the right of the Palestinians to an independent Palestinian state with full rights.
Divided We Stand: The Munich
By: Sam Vaseghi
The Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2024 highlighted the complex global security landscape, focusing on strengthening the rules-based international order and addressing revisionist tendencies. The conference suggested a need for a strategic reevaluation to address both traditional and emerging security threats, emphasizing the importance of global cooperation while acknowledging the persistent influence of national interests. The conference also discussed Europe’s role in security and defense, new visions of the global order, and the security implications of climate change. The reluctance of many states to unite against Russia’s war in Ukraine demonstrates the difficulty in developing a shared vision for global cooperation. Other topics discussed included ongoing wars in Europe and the Middle East, rising tensions in the Indo-Pacific, NATO expansion, and the potential return of Donald Trump to the White House.
Delusions on display: The emptiness of the West’s strategic thinking will be on full show at the 2024 Munich Security Conference
Gabriel Elefteriu
The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is a gathering of high-ranking officials from the transatlantic foreign policy community, who have brought Western power to its current predicament through bungled policies from Iraq to Afghanistan and Yemen. The (MSC) is a platform for the spread of globalist ideological currents and narratives that undermine the Western spirit and identity. The 2018 edition of the MSC was notorious for its stance against the “illiberal understanding of Western civilization” based on history, culture, and religion. This perspective aligns with the wokeism of our times, which treats our past glories with contempt and condemnation. Fu Ying, a former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, is a member of the MSC’s Advisory Council.
The 2024 MSC report, published ahead of the Munich Security Conference, focuses on the redistribution of Western gains towards the Global South. The report accuses the West of failing to pursue “inclusive global growth” and focusing on relative gains or zero-sum thinking. It criticizes Western governments for raising defense budgets, introducing sanctions, and reconsidering engagement policies in response to autocratic revisionism. The report also warns that shrinking national budgets will make it more difficult to compensate the “losers” of globalization.
However, this argument is not accurate. The report ignores the detrimental impact on economic growth in the West due to the Net Zero agenda, COVID-19, government waste, corruption, and welfare budgets. The report is a complaint about the West’s mobilization and security against revisionist rivals, particularly China. It warns decision-makers to avoid adopting an ever-more expansive conception of security relevance to damage the prospects for an “inclusive world order.” The logic of the report is that the West should let its guard down for more lucrative business with autocracies so that Western governments would have more money left available to give out to the Global South. The report also suggests that de-risking from China should go hand in hand with redirecting investment toward Africa and other low-income countries.
The MSC 2024 report reflects the mindset of a Western strategic community that has been overtaken by events and has difficulty accepting the reality of great-power competition in the world system. The generation that matured intellectually in the post-Cold War era of hyper-globalization, “soft power” and liberal internationalism has a hard time accepting the reality of resuming great-power competition. The report suggests that zero-sum and overmatching adversaries are the only way forward to preserve Western security and return to the globalization ideals of the 1990s. The aspiration for a better world and global prosperity is legitimate, but the primacy of Western power and values in international affairs is the precondition for any grander vision of human flourishing.
B- Notes on the above testimonies about this conference, which failed by all standards:
1- President Putin stated several days ago, especially after learning of the conference’s agenda, that he regretted delaying the special Russian operation in Ukraine for a whole year, through which he could have easily won in the time of the Covid-19 virus. I believe that Putin’s dialogue with the American journalist “ Tucker Carlson,” as the Asia Studies and Translation Center stated in its report on this interview, was thoughtful. He refuted all Western claims with evidence and proof about Russia. Also, the US House of Representatives’ objection to funding the war against Russia, to spite Biden, is considered the biggest gift that the Republicans gave to Putin in this regard and confirms that he won the war against NATO. Also, as mentioned in the report above, the neoliberalism that has invaded Europe since the 1990s has made the Europeans more greedy for domination and condescension and unwilling to share profits and benefits, which is why they have the strongest strategic, economic, and political wedge “Russia Nightmare.”
2 – Russia and the gas exporting countries have a great opportunity to respond to the triviality and superficiality of the Munich Security Conference through the “Algeria Summit of Gas Exporting Countries” and they can cause them pain and discomfort – because gas has become the most strategic energy resource in the world because it is the most in-demand, the least polluting of the environment. It is also used in generating “Blue hydrogen.”
3- Energy is still a strategic tool in the world, and Russia and Iran are still among the largest energy producers in the world, along with the countries of the South. They control the oil and gas industry as well as nuclear energy. Without energy, no country can achieve any progress or development. This is why Europe is in big trouble if it bets more and more on the senile Biden. Here, will Europe try to support Biden financially, thinking that he is best for it? Especially since the American election process is one of the most corrupt elections in the world due to the interference of donations and political money from supporters of competitors and lobbies for the presidency at home and abroad. The value of what was spent in the 2020 presidential elections reached about “15.5 billion dollars,” according to a report by the Open Secrets website.
4 – I believe that Russia and Iran in particular are hated by the West because the West fails to accept the reality that they have become one of the largest global powers, as well as a major player in the international and regional arenas. Therefore, the coming days will witness more cooperation between the two countries, and this is noticeable from the activity of the ambassadors and foreign affairs of the two countries in the south and east. And also what the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Kazem Jalali, is doing, and his hosting of sustainable events between the two countries, the most recent of which is his reception of the great Russian thinker, Alexander Dugin. In addition to Mr. Lavrov’s current trip to Latin American countries, which is consistent with the positions of Russia and Iran, especially (Cuba, Venezuela, and Brazil), the same countries that had similar positions towards the Palestinian issue and the genocide taking place in Gaza. Especially the position of Brazilian President Lula de Silva in this regard, when he expelled the Israeli ambassador in response to the Zionist Prime Minister’s attacks against him.
5- Last year, the Asia Center for Studies and Translation also presented an evaluation report of last year’s conference, which is based on specialized articles from Western international sites, including the major American site Politico. This site exposed the behind-the-scenes of this conference, which represents NATO’s interface to the world. It exposed the controversial relationship between the German state, the host of the event, and the President of the European Commission, “the former Minister of Defense of Germany, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen,” and McKinsey, the largest American public relations company. McKinsey sold weapons to Germany during Van der Leyen’s service. Politico discovered that two of her sons (by coincidence) work at the company’s headquarters in Berlin. Here there is a suspicion of corruption and a conflict of interest, unfortunately, between a German official, a country that alleges it is not corrupt, and an American company that sold weapons to Germany while she was Minister of Defense, and appointed her children at the same company. What was confirmed by Politico, based on reports from within the conference, is that McKinsey is the one setting the conference agenda, and is the one who extends invitations only to those who are subject to this agenda, whether inexperienced personas, businessmen, or government officials. The topic is closer to a farce.
6- The West, despite all the massacres taking place against the Gazans and the international resolutions of the General Assembly, as well as the International Court of Justice, unfortunately, still does not accept the idea of “defeating Israel” or even giving the Palestinians parts of their legitimate rights stolen from 1948. It wants to return the situation to the state No peace and no war, before October 7, 2023, and this is illogical and unacceptable. While forgetting the idea of a two-state solution under the worst assumptions. In addition to the pressure on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) not to deliver aid to the innocent and defenseless people in the Gaza Strip. As well as the harassment that Egyptian trucks are subjected to bringing in aid by settlers and thugs of the entity. Strict orders were given to Egyptian truck drivers not to conflict with the Israelis out of concern for their safety because they are in a stage similar to epilepsy.
7 – The countries of the Arab world and the Islamic world must also become united for once, with the expulsion of all Israeli ambassadors, as well as an economic rupture with them. And support Al-Houthi, Hezbollah, and Hamas in what they are doing to break the agenda of the West, represented by Israel, in the region. Because it has become clear that in conflicts, three sides have experience in defending the region – the West only recognizes the “fait accompli” and the Palestinian resistance, and the resistance must not stop, and impose a new fait accompli through strong operations that will break the army of the Zionist entity only then. Then the popular pressure in the Zionist entity and the West will reach a critical state, whereby the war must be stopped immediately – and we have an honorable previous example of the July 2006 war with Hezbollah. How did the party and its supporters manage to defeat the entity so badly according to the “Israeli Winograd Report?” The liberation of southern Lebanon, and the operations carried out by the resistance when Israel tried to occupy Lebanon in 1982, which were and still are a nightmare in the imagination of any Israeli settler or officer, formed the deterrence equation between Lebanon and the entity.
8 – Biden, his team, and his lobbyists failed to achieve any of the goals of his previous election campaign, or what he promised later, so Russia was waiting for him in Ukraine and defeated NATO in its worst defeat. He failed to complete the deal of the century and Zionist normalization with Saudi Arabia, with five failed visits by Anthony Blinken. America’s internal debt has increased so that each American citizen owes about 100,000 dollars, and the external debt has become 130%, that is, an increase of approximately four times the external debt of its counterparts in Russia and China. He failed to resolve the battle and turn the tables on Hamas, according to the Israeli media’s reports, and the battle has become a battle for the long haul, in which Israel and the West always lose with the continued support of the resistance movement. He lost the moral battle and even undermined the reputation of the United States and the West globally because they adopted extreme racism and double standards towards any citizen who did not belong to the West. The Gaza crisis became scandalous for them. This lack of trust will be entrenched in the hearts and minds of Arab and Muslim youth and the South, and that the West is not the role model, but on the contrary, it is an example of lies and moral decadence. The East and the new global powers are still the world’s protective shield for family, ethics, and the good human spirit, no matter how many crises they are exposed to.
9 – The Asia Center expects that a civil war may occur within the United States and a rift in American federalism as the frenetic race for the presidency approaches as if we are facing a war that will occur within America between elephants and donkeys. Perhaps there will be a boycott of the elections by certain groups, such as Arabs and Muslims, due to the positions of either Biden or Trump that are hostile to Arabs and Muslims, especially regarding the Palestinian issue. Perhaps new youth movements similar to “Occupy,” which the American regime eliminated at the beginning of the last decade, will emerge in retaliation against corrupt politicians who revolve within the “revolving door” of both parties.
10- The Asia Center for Studies and Translation reiterates that it is not biased towards any of the presidential candidates in America – and that the Center is also against Zionism, Freemasonry, and extremism in all its forms, as well as the so-called Club of Rome, the idea of the Golden Billion, and all the extremist and deviant ideas adopted by some families that own money and transcontinental companies in the world. Likewise, multipolarity has become a reality, and anyone who denies this is certainly completely ignorant.
