The Spanish Super Cup competitions conclude today, with the final match, which will bring together Real Madrid and Barcelona at Al Awal Park Stadium at King Saud University in Riyadh.
Real Madrid was able to advance to the final of the tournament, after defeating its traditional rival, Atletico Madrid, with a score of (5-3), in the first match of the tournament, while Barcelona completed the quorum of the finalists by defeating Osasuna with a score of (2-0), so that the date between the two teams was renewed in The capital, Riyadh, after the last final that brought them together in the last edition in 2023 AD in Riyadh, which Barcelona succeeded in winning, with a score of (3-1) at the King Fahd Sports City Stadium.
The Kingdom has previously hosted three previous editions of the Spanish Super Cup, as the first was held in 2020 AD in Jeddah Governorate, and Real Madrid was crowned champion, only to return again and prove its worth by winning the second title in 2022 AD in Riyadh, while Barcelona won the last edition in 2023 in Riyadh.
The Spanish Super Cup is part of a package of sporting events hosted by the Kingdom, organized by the Ministry of Sports, and falls under the Quality of Life Program, to contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. To be a leading destination and an important sports center in hosting international events.
