The Culture and Arts Association in Dammam concluded the activities of the International Video Art Forum (IVAF)in its fifth and first international session in Al-Ahsa, under the title (Imagination of Reality… Towards the Future), with the participation of 68 artistic works from 29 countries, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, This is at the headquarters of Dar Noura Al-Mousa for Culture and Creative Arts in the governorate.
His Highness witnessed the announcement of the winners of the first places, where the first place was achieved by the artist Bruno Pavic from Croatia for his artistic work (The Message), the second place was achieved by the artist Muhammad Ahmed Al-Faraj from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for his work (Tamra Al-Maarifa), and the third place was achieved by the artist Katita Bitsikas from the United States of America for her work ( blood meal).
Three artistic entries were also awarded certificates of excellence to the artists Mustafa Mahmoud Amer from Egypt for his work (Scattered), Hajar Khalifa Al-Harrasiya for her work (A Body Returning from Memory), and Hataf Turki Al-Subaie (Jadeel Team) from the Kingdom for his work (Her Shadow… You See My Art). Trani), noting that all submitted works were subject to evaluation and screening by a specialized committee.
The forum included training workshops, dialogue and discussion sessions on video art, training and knowledge activities in which Saudi and Gulf artists participated, and knowledge lectures that influenced the artists’ abilities and refined their artistic skills, and an artistic workshop entitled (Photography in Video Art), and another entitled (Integrating Video Art). In virtual reality), in addition to a critical lecture entitled (Video Art: Between the emergence of the trend and the emergence of the idea).
