In cooperation with the Egyptian Public Library, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Egypt held a cultural symposium in celebration of the centenary of the leader Heydar Aliyev to discuss the publication of a new book by the Egyptian author, Mr. Ahmed Abdo Tarabik, under the title “The Arab and Islamic World in the Thought of Heydar Aliyev.”
The meeting was supervised by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Egypt, Mr. Alkhan Polokhov, in the presence of ambassadors, media figures, and intellectuals, including the Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Salih Mutlu Shen, the Deputy Head of Egypt’s Public Libraries, Ambassador Altayfi, etc.
Ambassador Polokhov touched on the growth of Egyptian-Azerbaijani relations culturally, politically, and economically, as they are on the rise, especially since Azerbaijan’s independence from the Soviet Union by the leader Heydar Aliyev in 1991, and its prominent role towards the Arab and Islamic worlds.
