The people of the Kingdom continued to respond to the popular fundraising campaign for relief for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, following the generous directives issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – May God protect them
The volume of donations received by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for the relief of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip increased to about 420.3 million Saudi riyals, about a week after opening the door for donations through the Centre’s “Sahim” platform.
The King Salman Relief Center continues to receive donations from within the Kingdom around the clock, as more than 597,000 people have donated to the relief efforts of the Palestinian people so far, in a broad response to the campaign to which the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – took the initiative to donate. In the amount of 30 million riyals, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – also donated 20 million riyals.
Within the framework of the generous directives issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – to the King Salman Relief Center, a specialized team from the Center arrived in Cairo and held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nuqli. To discuss ways to facilitate and accelerate mechanisms and procedures for transporting and introducing shelter materials, food baskets, and medical materials and supplies to those affected in the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing as quickly as possible, according to the priorities of humanitarian need.
His Excellency the Advisor to the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, said on the occasion of the launch of the campaign that this generous directive embodies the noble qualities of the leadership of this generous nation and its dear people who responded to the call of its leadership.
His Excellency explained that donations are being collected through the “Sahem” platform of the King Salman Relief Center, as well as through the “Sahem” application, the unified bank account designated for the campaign, or through the multiple donation channels available on the Center’s website, indicating that the Center does not deduct any administrative fees from donations. It reaches its beneficiaries in full.
