His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a telephone call with His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi.
At the beginning of the call, His Highness appreciated China’s support for the United Nations resolution issued on Friday (October 27, 2023), which aims for an immediate ceasefire and the establishment of an urgent humanitarian truce in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The two sides discussed developments in the situation in Gaza and its surroundings, in light of the continued military escalation and the harm to defenseless civilians, in addition to discussing the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibility to stop all military actions and return to the path of just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian issue, in a way that achieves international peace and security.
The two sides also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them to serve the aspirations of the two friendly countries, in addition to discussing issues of common interest.
