The spokesman stated that the meeting witnessed discussion of the latest developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the situation in Gaza, and the serious economic, social and humanitarian repercussions it has on the Palestinian people, and the need to provide all forms of support to mitigate these repercussions. The spokesman added that Aboul Gheit praised the cooperation between the League and ESCWA in formulating Arab Vision 2045, which will be an important initiative to advance joint Arab action and enhance efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in the Arab region. For her part, Mrs. Rula Dashti indicated her aspiration to launch it officially as soon as possible, expressing ESCWA’s desire to hold the ministerial session of its council at the headquarters of the General Secretariat on December 18, during which the Arab Vision 2045 will be launched.
