His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, and His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SCB), Mr. Ayman bin Mohammed Al-Sayyari, participated in the fourth meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors, which was held in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh from October 12 – 13, 2023 AD.
The meeting, organized by the Indian G20 presidency, witnessed the participation of finance ministers and central bank governors of the G20 countries, in addition to leaders from international financial institutions.
A number of topics were discussed during the meeting, including developments in global sovereign debt and ways to strengthen multilateral development banks. To face common challenges in the twenty-first century, in addition to developments in global economic prospects, and the G20 roadmap for regulating work with crypto-assets.
During the meeting, he reviewed the developments taking place in the Kingdom’s economy, and the policies and reforms that contributed to promoting sustainable growth and high growth of the non-oil sector supported by the growth of the private sector. A number of topics on the meeting’s agenda and developments taking place in the global economy were also discussed.
This meeting resulted in the issuance of a final statement by the finance ministers and central bank governors of the G20 countries.
