His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a phone call today from His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine.
During the call, they discussed the military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings and the deteriorating situation that threatens the lives of civilians and the security and stability of the region.
His Highness the Crown Prince stressed that the Kingdom is making every possible effort in communicating with all international and regional parties to stop the ongoing escalation and prevent its expansion in the region, and to stress the necessity of adhering to international humanitarian law and not targeting civilians.
He also stressed – may God protect him – that the Kingdom continues to stand by the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights to a decent life, realize their hopes and aspirations, and achieve just and lasting peace.
For his part, the Palestinian President extended his sincere thanks to the Kingdom’s leadership, appreciating its firm positions and the efforts it is making to stand with the Palestinian people and their just cause.
