Today, the second meeting of the working group concerned with following up on the recommendations issued by the meetings of the seventeenth session of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee began in Cairo during the days of September 6-7, headed by the Deputy Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade for International Relations, Abdulaziz bin Omar Al-Sakran, from the Saudi side, and the Head of the Agreements Sector. And Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Amani Al-Wasal from the Egyptian side.

This meeting comes as an extension of the importance of bilateral work between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt by strengthening fraternal ties, consolidating cooperation and raising it to a higher level, and contributing to enhancing trade between the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, Abdulaziz Al-Sakran extended his thanks to Dr. Al-Wisal, and to both sides, for the accomplished recommendations contained in the minutes in the economic, commercial, agricultural, social, health, and other fields, which resulted in reaching and agreeing to sign memorandums of understanding and cooperation programs between the two countries.

He stressed the importance of these meetings and their contribution to resolving any obstacles preventing the strengthening of economic relations between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting was attended by government officials from various sectors in the two countries, as the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Egypt during the year 2022 will exceed 20 billion dollars.

It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Foreign Trade aims to enhance the Kingdom’s international trade gains and defend its interests in the fields of foreign trade, thus contributing to the development of its national economy.
