His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, concluded his participation in the meetings of the Trade and Investment Ministers of the Group of Twenty, which were held during two days (24-25 August 2023 AD) in the Indian city of Jaipur. . His Excellency Dr. Al-Qasabi participated in the working session on “Trade for Growth and Prosperity, WTO Reforms” and the session on “Global Value Chains for Trade and Flexibility, Integration of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Global Trade” held yesterday. He also participated in the session on “Trade Logistics Services”. Which was held today, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Trade and Investment of the Group of Twenty. During the sessions, he reviewed the features of Vision 2030 to enhance the integration of the Saudi economy regionally and globally, and the main gains for the Kingdom’s competitiveness. He also held 12 bilateral meetings with the ministers and senior officials of the Group of Twenty, which dealt with strengthening trade cooperation and economic relations. The meetings of the G20 trade and investment ministers focused on addressing the challenges facing the global economy, WTO reforms, trade for growth and prosperity, logistics in trade, trade and global value chains, and integrating micro, small and medium enterprises into global trade. It is noteworthy that the friendly Republic of India hosts the group this year with the slogan “One Land, One Family, One Future”; To build a strong and developed global economy, review the need for a more flexible and inclusive trading system, and make global value chains work for comprehensive, resilient and sustainable development after a decade of stagnation
