The Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev. On this happy occasion, the association held several competitions in various activities.
The Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association announced, earlier, on its official page, a competition in Arabic calligraphy, the Holy Qur’an, and an article competition.
A number of contestants residing in the Arab Republic of Egypt of different nationalities applied, and the association honored all the participants in the three competitions and handed them certificates of appreciation. The association also gave financial prizes to six of the participants who won first place in each competition, during the ceremony organized by the association at its headquarters. During the awarding of certificates of appreciation at the honoring ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association, Dr. Seymour Nasirov, spoke about the various activities of the association that it offers to male and female students of different nationalities free of charge.
Nasyrov stressed the role of the association in consolidating relations between countries in general and between Egypt and Azerbaijan in particular.

It is worth noting that the association recently started a course in teaching vocal scales. The chairman of the board of directors of the association mentioned a part of the importance of the art of vocal scales in Azerbaijan, and he mentioned that a number of Many Azerbaijanis are interested in and familiar with this art.
During his speech, Nasirov presented the association’s role in reviving heritage; Where the association revived the art of handmade carpets, which Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries in its industry, and the association opened its doors to those wishing to learn the art of carpets.
It is worth noting that the association has other activities such as teaching the Noble Qur’an with the ten minor and major recitations, Arabic calligraphy, Islamic decoration, Arabic language sciences, as well as its Azerbaijani equivalent.
The closing ceremony of the competitions held by the Society was attended by Dr. Alkhan Plokhov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Cairo. The Ambassador thanked all the participants in the Society’s competitions, which were announced in celebration of the centenary of the birth of the great national leader Heydar Aliyev.
