His Eminence, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Scientific Research, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, praised the generous approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – to hold the International Islamic Conference (IIC) (Communication and Integration), Which is held by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance and is attended by 150 scholars and muftis from the various departments of religious affairs, ifta’ and sheikhdoms in the world, and it is held during the period from 26 to 27 of the current month of Muharram in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
His Eminence, the Mufti stressed that the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – to hold this conference embodies the care and interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Muslims all over the world and its keenness to spread the Islamic religion according to the approach of the Book and the Sunnah and to clarify its lofty message to spread peace and love in the world.
He added that the holding of this conference in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and at this time when some conflicts and hatred are flaring up is evidence of the message that the Kingdom presents to the world about the tolerance and moderation of Islam and its call for coexistence and rejection of hatred and intolerance and as a contribution from it to reduce the feelings of hatred and violence that spread among peoples, indicating that the Kingdom is a country Islam and peace, as it is keen to promote the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among peoples and preserve the rights of all in accordance with the moderate Islamic approach, noting the importance of the role of scholars in clarifying the pure message of Islam according to what was stated in the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace.
His Eminence praised the objectives of the conference and the important axes it contains that will contribute to strengthening Islamic unity among Muslims, rejecting extremism, decadence and deviant ideas, achieving rapprochement and exchanging visions and experiences between scholars and muftis.
And Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Sheikh praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in order to spread Islam in accordance with the approach of the Book and the Sunnah, away from extremism, extremism and decadence, and to strengthen the bonds of communication between religious affairs departments in various countries and achieve integration among them, which will be reflected in the advancement of Islamic societies. And spreading love and intimacy among them.
His Eminence “Al-Sheikh” called on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – to make the great services they do for Islam and Muslims in the balance of their good deeds, asking May God grant success and payment to all, and may the conference achieve its desired goals.
