In an unprecedented invitation, Kazan Federal University, one of the prominent universities in Russia, invited an Egyptian scientist, Dr. Adel Nofal, professor of metallurgy, and former head of the Metals Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his graduation, to hold a celebration for him The golden jubilee of this historic occasion.
Professors and students at the university looked forward to the speech of the great Egyptian scientist, Dr. Adel Nofal, to listen to the experience of half a century of giving and scientific research.
Dr. Nofal graduated 50 years from the Institute of Steel and Alloys in Moscow, after he discussed his doctoral dissertation on the topic “The Effect of Ultrasound on Freezing Cast Iron Castings”. Currently, he is a visiting professor at the National University in Minsk, Belarus, and the coordinator of scientific relations between the Research Academy Science and Technology in Egypt and the National Academy of Sciences in Belarus. He also won the State Appreciation Award in Advanced Technological Sciences in 2010 in Egypt, and he also received the State Appreciation Award from the National Academy of Sciences in Belarus for his role in strengthening scientific relations between the two countries in 2018.
During the honoring, the President of Kazan University thanked the Egyptian scientist for the very interesting and useful presentations and lectures, especially his efforts in scientific research on the formation of cast iron alloy structures and unconventional smelting techniques designed for Egyptian alloys with the development of a new casting alloy, which made a great development in this field, with Flexible cast iron rolling mills for iron, steel, metals, technology and applications, taking into account the Egyptian experience for more than 30 years.
The university president confirmed that what was written and applied by Dr. Novell in the science and techniques of adjusting cast iron has made a revolution, and that Novell has made many achievements during 50 years on the theoretical level, as well as in the practical field of cast iron production.
For his part, Sherif Gad, head of the Egyptian Society for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, expressed his happiness with this Russian honor for one of the pioneers of Egyptian graduates, congratulating Dr. Nofal on this high-level honor, which is a tribute to all graduates.
Jad praised the Russian University’s initiative in honoring its graduates, which helps strengthen relations between graduates and their home universities.
