The Arab Republic of Egypt condemns in the strongest terms the attack carried out by the Israeli forces on the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, which has resulted in 5 casualties and 27 injuries among the Palestinian people so far.
Egypt affirms its complete rejection of the repeated Israeli attacks and incursions against Palestinian cities, and the resulting innocent civilian casualties in the excessive and indiscriminate use of force, and a flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international legitimacy, especially international humanitarian law, which imposes clear and specific obligations on Israel as the occupying power.
Egypt warns of the serious dangers of the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinians, which leads to fueling tensions, exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people, and undermining the efforts made by Egypt and its regional and international partners to reduce tension in the occupied territories. The Arab Republic of Egypt calls on the international actors and influencers to intervene to put an end to these violations and to provide protection for the Palestinian people, whose suffering is increasing day by day.
