Today, the Saudi and International Football Associations (FIFA) officially announced that Jeddah will host the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup 2023.
This came after an official visit by a delegation of FIFA officials to Jeddah last week. To view the ongoing preparations to host the tournament, which will be held during the period from 12 to 22 December of this year.
The President of the Saudi Football Association, Yasser Al-Mishal, confirmed the readiness of the city of Jeddah to organize this year’s edition of the FIFA Club World Cup TM, and to provide an unprecedented experience for players and fans, in light of the city’s history full of organizing major sporting events, and its possession of a wide range of advanced facilities and infrastructure. It is noteworthy that the visit of FIFA experts to Jeddah included inspection tours of the main infrastructure and stadiums nominated to host the tournament, including King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, in addition to a number of training and accommodation facilities for teams.
