HH Crown Prince participates tomorrow in Paris in the Kingdom’s official reception for Riyadh’s candidacy to host Expo 2030

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh – may God protect him – will participate in the Kingdom’s official reception for Riyadh’s candidacy to host Expo 2030, which will be held tomorrow in Paris.
The official reception for representatives of 179 member countries of the Bureau International des Expositions – the organization responsible for the World Expo – will be held on the eve of the Bureau’s 172nd General Assembly meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Paris.
This ceremony comes as part of the nomination procedures to host the “Riyadh Expo 2030”, and aims to introduce the capital’s readiness, plans and projects to host the exhibition, in preparation for voting to choose the host city for this event at the next General Assembly meeting, which will be held in November 2023.
The reception, which is being held by the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, includes an exhibition that expresses the civilizational and cultural depth of the Kingdom and its capital, and highlights its political and economic weight, the distinction of its geographical location, and its distinguished infrastructure that makes it ready to host the largest international events and events, and its greater capabilities when the development projects are completed. which is being implemented, and is scheduled to be launched before the date set for the launch of the exhibition.
The exhibition takes its visitors through a virtual journey in Riyadh in 2030, starting from arriving at King Salman International Airport, then moving through modern transportation to a tour of the most prominent landmarks of the capital and its major projects, such as the sports track, King Salman Park, Diriyah Gate, Qiddiya, and others. The huge development projects that the Kingdom is currently witnessing.
A high-ranking Saudi delegation, including Their Highnesses and Excellencies, ministers and senior officials from the Saudi and French sides and from all member states of the office, members of international organizations such as UNESCO and others, and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to France, will participate in the reception.
It is worth noting that Expo 2030 is one of the most influential global platforms, and it is competing to organize it alongside the city of Riyadh (3 cities): Rome, Italy, Busan, South Korea, and Odessa, Ukraine.
