45 panel discussions at Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Doha International Book Fair

Doha – The Saudi pavilion participating in the “Doha International Book Fair” presents about 45 cultural activities, including seminars, workshops, dialogue sessions, and panel discussions, over a period of 10 days at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

  The topics of the workshops, which are held on a daily basis, vary to discuss novels, poetry, calligraphy, the art of cataloging manuscripts, and handicrafts. such as al-Qatt al-Asiri, al-Sadu and textile industries, and the art of reading;

Through this, the workshops aim to introduce the diverse culture, heritage and arts of the Kingdom.

  The pavilion dedicates periodic dialogue sessions entitled: “The Talk of the Book”; Visitors gather with Saudi authors.

The first of these sessions was with the poet and novelist Dr. Khalif Al-Ghalib;

While he will speak during the session: “The Publishing Industry in Saudi Arabia”, the writer Fahd bin Amer Al-Ahmadi, and these dialogue sessions will host: the novelist “Osama Al-Musallam”, the skill development expert “Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalidi”, and the writer and publisher “Dr. Muhammad Al-Mashwah”, during the coming days To talk about their writing experiences.

  Writers participate in the cultural program of the exhibition. In a number of seminars, where Dr. Salah Al-Suhaimi presents a symposium on “The Kingdom’s Efforts in Arabic Calligraphy”, while Dr. Abdullah Al-Zahrani presents a symposium entitled: “The Kingdom’s Civilizational Record … Historical Evidences”, and Dr. Raed Al-Sufyani reviews “The Ministry of Culture’s Experience in a Report The Cultural Status”, while Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed will present a symposium on “The Translation Movement in the Kingdom and its Development”.

  It is noteworthy that the “Doha International Book Fair 32” is witnessing the participation of about 25 Saudi publishing houses, displaying thousands of old and modern titles in various fields.
