Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed Egypt’s deep concern as a result of the accelerating and dangerous escalation in the region over the past 48 hours, following the Israeli forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its assault on worshipers and seclusions, and the subsequent firing of missiles towards Israel, and strikes Israeli air forces targeted areas in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, with the continuation of confrontations and violence in various forms and images.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and respond to the efforts exerted to calm, stop bloodshed and protect lives, warning of the grave dangers looming over the region if the current wave of violence continued.
