Saudi airports continued their progress within the ranking of the 50 best airports in the world, which came in the announcement of the results of the evaluation of the international “Skytrax” organization concerned with evaluating airlines and airports, in which more than 500 airports around the world participated.
King Fahd International Airport won the first place award in the “Skytrax 2023” awards for the best regional airports in the Middle East for the second year in a row.
The “Skytrax” awards witnessed the advancement of the Kingdom’s airports within the ranking of the 100 best airports in the world, after King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh advanced to 27th place from 29th last year, and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah reached 41st rank after it was 44th in the world. In 2022 AD, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam advanced to the 44th place after it was in the 50th place last year, and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah reached the 52nd rank after it was in the 58th rank in 2022AD.
It is noteworthy that the Kingdom’s airports are managed by the Airports Holding Company, which manages the operation of 27 airports in Saudi Arabia through its subsidiaries (Riyadh Airports, Jeddah Airports, Dammam Airports, and the Second Airports Complex), which aims to develop the Kingdom’s airports and improve their performance to keep pace with the rapid development that the Kingdom is currently witnessing. And support the sustainable development process to achieve more development and qualitative achievements that are befitting the status of our dear homeland in accordance with the National Aviation Strategy emanating from the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, as one of the outputs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
