The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (LAS) condemned in the strongest terms the new bloody massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army yesterday during its special forces storming the city of Jenin and its camp, which resulted in the death of 6 citizens and the injury of dozens, in addition to the targeting of homes and the destruction of property.
The Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories of the Arab League, Dr. Saeed Abu Ali, said in a press statement today regarding the occupation army’s attacks on the city of Jenin and its camp, that this new bloody massacre, which is the fourth since the beginning of the year 2023, which comes in the context of the open war pursued by the government. The extreme right and its racist inciting ministers, and as an extension of the series of continuous and systematic massacres and crimes against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the cities of Jenin, Nablus, Jericho and other Palestinian cities and villages. The General Secretariat also condemns the settlers’ storming of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the first day of the Jewish “purim holiday”, with the protection of the occupation army, as well as the continuation of the daily escalating terrorist settler attacks on the town of Hawara in the city of Nablus, and the barbaric attacks on the lives and property of Palestinian citizens, in continuation of the practice of official state terrorism. The systematic and gross violations of all international norms and the most basic rules of international law and international humanitarian law.
In its statement, the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States held the Israeli government fully responsible for these systematic and serious crimes, and for their repercussions on the deteriorating situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, and its regional and international repercussions, calling on the international community, especially the Security Council, and human rights and concerned organizations, to intervene immediately to stop the massacres in Palestinian cities, towns, villages, and camps in which dozens of Palestinian people claim their lives, including providing international protection for the Palestinian people from those crimes whose perpetrators must be held accountable in accordance with the principles and provisions of international law, and not allowing the perpetrators to escape punishment, and providing justice to the Palestinian people in achieving freedom, independence, and establishing Its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, like the rest of the world’s peoples.
