KSA affirms its all support to host Expo 2030

The delegation of the International Bureau of Exhibitions, which is currently visiting Riyadh, held the first workshop to evaluate the file submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to host the International Expo 2030 in Riyadh, as part of the Bureau’s procedures to determine the host country for the exhibition.

The first workshop was held in the presence of His Excellency the CEO of the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, Mr. Fahd bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Rasheed, members of the delegation of the International Bureau of Exhibitions, and a number of representatives of the relevant authorities, during which the elements of Riyadh’s candidacy to host the International Expo 2030 were reviewed, in addition to the added value and the qualitative leap. Which will be presented by the exhibition copy in the event that Riyadh chooses to host it.

Al-Rasheed stressed during the workshop the comparative advantages that Riyadh possesses that make it able to produce an exceptional version of the exhibition, in light of the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh – may God protect him – on this. The file, the integration of government agencies to fulfill all the commitments made in the nomination file, the interaction of the residents of Riyadh, and the long record of successes in hosting major events that Riyadh has become attractive to.

After that, the members of the mission held a meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, during which the details of the Kingdom’s financial commitment to support the exhibition were reviewed. His Excellency affirmed the Kingdom’s full commitment to preparing ways to host and finance the exhibition, including the provision of basic and operational expenses that ensure the success of the exhibition. And that its edition in Riyadh is exceptional, making it a global platform that looks into the future and responds to the challenges facing the world.

Al-Jadaan said: The economic and financial reforms witnessed by the Kingdom, emanating from the “Saudi Vision 2030”, contributed to advancing and accelerating the pace of growth achieved by the Kingdom, as a package of programs and projects were implemented that contributed to achieving the goals of the ambitious vision, noting that the Riyadh Expo 2030 comes Within the Kingdom’s initiatives that will contribute to providing various economic opportunities, generating revenues for many of the main sectors in the city of Riyadh, and raising the quality of life of its residents and visitors.

During the program of the first day of the visit, the members of the International Bureau of Exhibitions delegation got acquainted with some of the cultural and artistic evidence and the cultural diversity of the Kingdom, during their tour of the National Museum in the King Abdulaziz Historical Center in the square, and their standing on the cultural depth that this land abounds with.
