Visitors of the Cairo International Book Fair ( CIBF) in its 54th session flocked remarkably to the corner of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an in Madinah, which is participating in the pavilion of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance at the exhibition, appreciating the Kingdom’s efforts in caring for the Noble Book of God, publishing it and translating its meanings into various languages. languages around the world.
During the “SPA” tour of the corner of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, the visitors of the corner listened to an explanation from the Director of the Office of the Secretary-General of the Complex, Muhammad bin Ateeq Al-Rifai, about the stages of printing the Qur’an, starting with writing it by hand on paper measuring 100 cm x 70 cm, then preparing it electronically on metal plates. To be printed in 10 bindings, each binding has 3 parts with a total of 30 parts, then the stage of assembling and sewing the bindings, followed by the stage of placing the cover lining paper including the collector’s watermark, and finally the stage of making both the cover of the first and last Qur’an and the heel of the Qur’an from cardboard and leather to come out in its final form, In what befits His majesty, greatness, and perfection.
Al-Rifai also reviewed the method of printing the Qur’an of the Prophet’s City for the blind in the “Braille” method, which consists of 5 volumes, each volume consisting of 6 parts, indicating that more than 10 thousand copies of this Qur’an were printed in two stages, to help the blind read pages and chapters. And the parts of the Holy Qur’an easily and easily and contemplating its verses.
He drew attention to the fact that the corner of the complex also includes a variety of Qurans, as the complex’s publications amounted to about 260 publications of different sizes between large, medium and small, with multiple narrations and the publication of the Facilitated Interpretation of the Noble Qur’an, and some publications of scientific books that serve the sciences of the Noble Qur’an.
He added that the translation center of the complex translates the meanings of the Holy Qur’an into more than 76 languages, including African, Asian and European, within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts and its lofty mission to care for and serve the Holy Qur’an through printing and distributing it to all Muslims in the east and west of the earth.
Al-Rifai explained that the participation of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an in international cultural exhibitions comes as an extension of the distinguished scientific activities offered by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the Book of God Almighty, spreading its sciences and translating its meanings to millions of Muslims in all parts of the world. From 40 thousand copies of the Holy Quran during the exhibition period so far.
