His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, affirmed the Kingdom’s role in supporting and strengthening joint Arab action in all areas of social development, and promoting it to implement qualitative plans and programs and their sustainability for the benefit of Arab countries and peoples.
His Excellency said during today’s participation in the Qatari capital, Doha, to open the work of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs: The period of the Kingdom’s presidency of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs in its 41st session witnessed many activities and programs to contain the repercussions and effects of the Corona pandemic on Arab development work, including During the “Riyadh Declaration” issued by the conference under the title “Different Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Drawing Paths to Recovery in the Arab Region, and Supporting Vulnerable and Fragile Groups in Epidemics and Crises.”
He added that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 contributed to facilitating the access of persons with disabilities to work environments, their independence and their full adaptation to perform their duties, through the “Mowamawam Certificate” system, which states that the tasks and nature of the job occupied by the worker with a disability are compatible with the type and degree of his disability, and provides the requirements for the spatial environment and services. her facilitation.
He pointed out that the next stage requires more cooperation to advance Arab social development, through a vision based on the achievements made by member states, and lessons learned from difficulties and challenges, leading to support for joint Arab social development work.
At the end of his speech, His Excellency the Minister called on the Minister of Social Development and Family in the State of Qatar, Maryam Al-Misnad, to assume the presidency of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, wishing her success.
