Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region; Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj, Umrah and Pilgrimage Research, is organizing the 22nd Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Pilgrimage Research, on January 22-23, 2023, in the historic King Abdulaziz Hall at Umm Al-Qura University, under the slogan “Towards a Distinguished Experience to Serve the Guests of Rahman.”
Turki bin Sulaiman Al-Amro, Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University, explained that the forum is held with the participation of specialized academic researchers, representatives of government agencies, the private sector and the third sector, and aims to highlight the most important experiences and efforts to provide distinguished service to the guests of Rahman, and to provide the scientific vessel for publication. In addition to providing a scientific environment for the exchange of experiences, expertise and lessons learned, and encouraging innovation and scientific research in the field of services for the Hajj and Umrah sector, and serving the guests of Rahman, he added that the forum serves 16 goals, in addition to 6 programs of the goals and programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
He pointed out that the forum includes (7) scientific sessions, in which (33) speakers discuss a number of scientific axes, in addition to workshops and sessions for scientific posters, through three main axes that discuss the culture of the guest experience and its importance in achieving the satisfaction of the guests of Rahman with the quality of services provided. They have an understanding of their needs and expectations, while applying the best local and international practices in the concept of the guest experience and its applications in the Hajj and Umrah system, as well as providing an integrated system to control operations and provide innovative institutional services that enhance sustainability, contribute to crisis management and transform challenges into distinctive experiences.
