Riyadh hosts the first edition of “Rise Up Saudi Arabia,” Summit which will run until November 21 at the King Abdullah Financial District. It is expected that the number of attendees will reach 10,000 participants, more than 150 startups, 150 investors, and 200 speakers from all over the world to share their global experiences. And the latest developments in many fields serve emerging companies and help them build foundations on which to base themselves.
The summit is supported by the National Program for Information Technology Development of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in a strategic partnership with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones. Tourism, angel investor.
Her Highness Princess Lolwa Bint Yazid, CEO of RiseUp Company in Saudi Arabia, explained that the Kingdom is witnessing a historic boom for the startup community, and the Kingdom has been and will remain the largest supporter of this sector, as the sector represents a prosperous future for the economies of the world, and the impact of startups on the lives of the citizens of the Kingdom, which has become clear. And tangible, as the efficiency of the daily life of citizens has been improved by relying on modern technology in managing all tasks, indicating that the continued growth of startups is by finding many sources and resources and abundant investments.
For his part, Ibrahim Niaz, CEO of the National Program for Information Technology Development, affirmed the program’s keenness to attract and support such events and conferences that advance the technical sector in the Kingdom and bring together entrepreneurs and emerging technology companies in the region with venture capital funds, investors and interested parties to exchange their experiences and discuss the latest technical developments that are expected. It will develop their businesses, and this in turn enhances the Kingdom’s position to make it an environment that incubates entrepreneurship and a global meeting point in the technical fields.
For his part, CEO of RiseUp Abdul Hameed Sharara expressed his enthusiasm for holding the RiseUp Summit in the Kingdom for the first time, pointing out that holding the conference outside Egypt is an indication of the great growth of the entrepreneurial community and the ever-thriving economy in the Arab region, and that it has the potential to become a global center for startups.
