Saudi Arabia host meetings of 14th session of GA of the “Arabosey” organization, 64th and 65th meetings of the Executive Council

The Kingdom, represented by the General Court of Accountability, will host the work of the fourteenth session of the General Assembly of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) and the Executive Council meetings (64 and 65) starting from today until next Thursday in Jeddah, in the Makkah region, in the presence and participation of their Excellencies heads of agencies Members of the organization, and a number of guests and observers from regional and international organizations and international counterparts.

The sixty-fourth meeting of the Executive Council, which will be held tomorrow, will address the reports of several committees, the most important of which are the Institutional Capacity Development Committee, the Professional and Oversight Standards Committee, the Sustainable Development Goals Oversight Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee.

The members of the organization at the meeting of the General Assembly will also address the report of the Executive Council on the follow-up to the activities of the organization and the measures taken by the Council to ensure the implementation of the work program approved by the General Assembly in its previous session, the report of the Chairman of the Council on the financial position of the organization, and the report of the Strategic Planning Committee on its achievements for the period (2018-2022 AD). In addition to adopting the strategic plan for the period (2023-2028 AD), and approving the organization’s work program and financial program.

It is scheduled to announce the body that will chair the organization and its first deputy, determine the venue of the fifteenth session of the General Assembly, appoint the second deputy, re-form the organization’s executive council, and elect the heads and members of its main committees.

The meeting of the fourteenth session will also be accompanied by the organization of a technical symposium under the title “Transformation to the basis of accrual accounting and its effects on the supervisory work”, with the participation of a number of speakers from the Arab bodies members of the Organization (Arabosey) and international observers.
