Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt visits Hero Factory in Qaliobia Governorate

(Cairo, 3 October 2022) Mr. Mahmoud Bazan, Cluster General Manager of Hero Middle East and Africa (MEA) and the Hero team, welcomed, Her Excellency, the Swiss Ambassador, Dr. Yvonne Baumann to the Hero Factory located in Qaliobia Governorate. The Swiss company Hero is a leader in the field of manufacturing jams.
Mr. Bazan explained that the Egyptian market is a strategic market for the global Hero Group, as it is the export hub for all company’s products for the Middle East and Africa region; 35% of the company’s total sales were exported to over 40 countries last year. He added that there are continuous ambitious targets for the Egyptian market in line with the country’s economic strategy, aiming to make Egypt one of the region’s leading export hubs and encourage foreign investments.
The Ambassador expressed her respect for the high quality and taste of the products, which is the result of a combination between the utilization of manpower and sophisticated automated processes.
Her Excellency also stated that Hero is a good example for using local raw materials in the production process, while respecting environmental standards. The export of the products is a further value-added to the country, as it brings foreign currency inflows.
