General Secretary of SAS.. Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh sign a memorandum of understanding with “Save the Children International”

To support the efforts of all organizations working in the field of child protection and rights in the Arab region, her Excellency ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, General Secretary of the Social Affairs Secto (SAS), signed a memorandum of understanding with Save the Children International, dated September 19, 2022. General Secretariat.
The importance of the agreement is to increase efforts to improve children’s issues, and to ensure the mutual interest of the parties in supporting the goals of sustainable development, especially in relation to the category of children, including reducing poverty and responding to emergencies in the Arab region, and the agreement is based on the strategic priorities of the parties to achieve the best interests of the child. It is valid for a period of three years from the date of signing, and this period can be extended with the written consent of the parties.
Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh stated that the next phase will see the start of the implementation of the action plan annexed to the agreement, consisting of the preparation of programs and strategies to support childhood issues, monitoring climate changes on the situation of children with the aim of formulating a plan for adapting to climate change and mitigating its effects on children, in addition to Preparing training programs to promote children’s participation in their issues.
