Minister of MOFA of Oman heads his country’s delegation at the 158th session of the Council of LAS and stresses to recognize the State of Palestine

The Mnister of Foreign Affairs, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi,, headed the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman in the meeting of the 158th session of the Council of the League of Arab States (LAS) at the ministerial level, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League in Cairo. Where the members of the Council stressed the importance of Arab solidarity, joint cooperation, and work to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the peoples of Arab countries.
In his speech, he referred to the central Arab issue, which is Palestine. Where he stressed the importance of establishing a just solution for the Palestinian people by recognizing the independent State of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem and the 1967 borders and its accession to full membership in the United Nations.
He also touched on the Sultanate of Oman’s aspiration for the return of Arab solidarity with the return of the Syrian Arab Republic to its seat in the League of Arab States, based on the belief in the authentic Arab constants that all countries are working to consolidate and strengthen ties towards achieving the ambition and desired goals.
The delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs included; Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt; its permanent representative to the League of Arab States; And Minister Plenipotentiary Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al-Marhoon, Head of the Department of the League of Arab States, and a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
