MWL welcomes outcomes of “Jeddah Summit for Security and Development”

The Muslim World League welcomed the outcomes of the “Jeddah Summit for Security and Development” hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and the United States of America.
The Secretary-General of the Association, Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, praised the outcomes of the summit, which focused on partnership in promoting peace and prosperity in the region, and what achieving this requires taking all necessary measures in order to preserve the region’s security and stability, and jointly addressing the challenges that it faces. It faces them, including keeping the Arab Gulf region free of weapons of mass destruction, adhering to the rules of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing that achieving peace and harmony in the region is an essential pillar for consolidating peace and harmony in the whole world.
The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League valued the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq of a firm principled commitment to the Palestinian cause, and the summit’s emphasis on the need to reach a just, comprehensive and lasting peace on the basis of the two-state solution, and the need to stop all unilateral measures that undermine the solution Respect for the historical status quo in Jerusalem and its sanctities.
His Excellency also valued the leaders participating in the summit standing with the dear Syrian people and alleviating their suffering, and the summit’s emphasis on the importance of providing the necessary support to Syrian refugees and the countries that host them, and the arrival of humanitarian aid to all regions of Syria, as well as their affirmation of the support of the brothers in Sudan in facing economic challenges, and the importance of Continuing and intensifying efforts to support the arrival of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, and to seek for the Afghan people of all sects to obtain their basic rights and freedoms, as well as their commitment to support all efforts seeking to resolve crises that have created critical humanitarian conditions in Lebanon, Libya and Ukraine.
Al-Issa also welcomed the presence of the pivotal climate issue that touches humanity at the core of its livelihood and its presence on the discussion table as a main issue in this exceptional summit, and the leaders’ declared determination to collectively address climate challenges, through the development of cooperation, regional integration and joint projects.
Al-Issa stressed that the peoples of the world attach great hopes to the leaders’ announced determination to strengthen regional and international efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism, prevent the financing, arming and recruitment of terrorist groups of all individuals and entities, and address all activities that threaten the security and stability of the region, as the peoples of the region attach High hopes for the contribution of the summit outcomes in general to addressing the problems facing their region and overcoming the challenges it is going through.
Al-Issa concluded by extending congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the success of the “Jeddah Summit for Security and Development”, with the efforts and wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – stressing that this great success It reaffirms the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the regional and international arenas, and its deserved leading role in achieving peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
