The main reason for the flight cancellations is “increasing corona infections among the crews,” the “Kurier” quoted a spokeswoman for the airline as saying. In particular, among the flight attendants, sick leave had increased. There would also be a strike by air traffic control at Marseille Airport and yesterday’s storms would also have an impact on flight operations.
According to the report, it is not known how many passengers are unable to start their journey today because of this. The spokeswoman was quoted as saying that attempts were being made to actively contact those affected and to rebook them on other Lufthansa Group flights.
