The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Highnesses, ministers and undersecretaries and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman and a number of international officials and journalists.
In a press statement by His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq bin Taimur Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister welcomed for Relations and International Cooperation and the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the participants at the International Conference of the International Federation of Journalists Congress atheist thirty.

His Highness praised the participants and guests of the Sultanate of Oman for their pleasant stay and success in achieving the desired goals of this conference.
He praised His Highness the role of the Omani Journalists Association and effort in preparing and all the arrangements to host the World Conference
During the ceremony, opened his exhibition pictures accompanying held by the Journalists Association and includes a set of images for the wealth of the Sultanate of Oman elements of civilization, heritage, cultural, artistic and development of Omani human, in addition to the development and growth achieved on the land of Oman thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq holy may God protect him, and the relationship of the Sultanate with various countries of the world.
The ceremony included parking a minute’s silence on the spirit of journalist Shirin Abu sane who lost her life doing its job as a reporter for Al-Jazeera in Palestine.
He gave Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Araimi, chairman of the Journalists Association spoke about the global confidence enjoyed by the Sultanate in the great host of this event, also spoke about the civil liberties enshrined in the Statute of the Sultanate of which stressed the obligation of institutions and individuals it, Khtaatma that the Sultanate supports all agreements international that ensure the safety and protection of the press and media work.
He said Araimi to host the Sultanate of Oman for this conference but it stems from the trust given by the General Federation of international journalists and is the confidence we cherish and is grown as well as how much the will of the Omani Journalists Association in the expansion of international solidarity among journalists around the world and make Oman a center key to the development of journalism and trade union as part of international Federation of journalists.
After that, a documentary film about the history of the press in the Sultanate of Oman since the establishment of the first newspaper in East Africa and the evolution of the Omani press.

And His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Cooperation and the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan honored the sponsors of the activities of this conference from government institutions and private sector companies.
The ceremony concluded with the submission of a commemorative gift to His Highness the patron of the ceremony.
The Sultanate, represented by the Omani Journalists Association has sought since 2019 request for the organization of the General Conference of the International meetings of the IFJ Congress atheist thirty, and succeeded in doing so with the consent of a majority of members and also achieved standards organization par excellence, where it is hosting is the second to be held one of the Arab countries, which is a significant achievement General of the Sultanate of Oman and the private media.
