The third meeting of the expert group concerned with evaluating and updating the plan for Arab media action abroad will be held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Cairo on 18-19/8/2021, in the presence of a number of media experts from Arab countries, and representatives of some organizations and unions practicing media missions. It is worth noting that the first meeting of the expert group was held on October 30 and 31, 2019 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Cairo, and the team held its second meeting in Cairo on December 15, 2019, during which a comprehensive vision of the activities of the plan was developed, including the development of a general framework for the work of the observatory and the integrated platform. It should also be noted that the plan for Arab media action abroad was approved during the extraordinary session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers held on August 15, 2001. This plan works on three main axes: the Palestinian cause, combating the phenomenon of terrorism, and correcting the negative stereotype of Arabs. and Muslims abroad, and highlighting the correct image of them, by achieving the wide spread of the Arab point of view towards these axes, and in light of the many changes that the Arab region has witnessed during the past years, followed by the distortion of the image of Arabs and Islam in the West, the plan has been updated several times to keep it in line with these changes.
