When visions differ between politicians and diplomats across the land, distances diverge between media outlets towards both policy makers and rapprochement tools according to the reasons for the divergence .. And since the Egyptian-Iranian relations for 42 years are not in the mood of the people, the relationship between most of the Egyptian media and the Iranian side diverges with the exception of a few However, the distance between “Aldiplomasy” and the rest of the nations in the person of diplomatic missions is “zero” … and this is the “Aldiplomasy” philosophy towards others.
Among the diplomatic missions that we have the honor to cover is the Iranian embassy in Cairo, despite its classification as an “interests care office.” Yesterday, our website received a dialogue by Ambassador Nasser Kanaani in 4 episodes about the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We are honored to publish it in Arabic, Persian and English as next one:
# Aldiplomasy: First of all, who is Ambassador Nasser Canaani?
- Ambassador: I was honored to hold many diplomatic positions as deputy assistant to the Iranian foreign minister for Iraq affairs .. chairing the Iraq committee in the Foreign Ministry .. Chargé d’Affairs to the Iranian ambassador to Jordan .. I speak Arabic fluently .. Happy to represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in Egypt.
# Aldiplomasy: Why the term “the Islamic Republic of Iran”?
# As-Safir: The description of the Islamic Republic in Iran is due to the identity of the regime, the visions and goals of its founder, Imam Khomeini, may God be pleased with him, and the opinion of the people as well. Great resistance and reference. And he established his revolutionary movement against the Shahenshahi regime, which was a ruler in Iran and a subordinate to America and Israel against Islam, divine consent and the legal argument. The imam also spoke in his famous, important and articulated sermon on June 4, 1963 AD, saying: “Today they told me to summon some of the people of the pulpits (religious scholars) To the security building, they told them you should stay away from three things, and say whatever you like:
* Do not criticize the Shah * Do not you criticize Israel * Do not say that religion is in danger .. If we put these three sides aside, then what are we talking about ?!
The other reason for the Islamic Republic in Iran is the choice of the people inspired by the ideas of the founder of the revolution, as the imam, in some of his media statements before the victory of the revolution, said that the system he seeks and which will be an alternative to the authoritarian system is the Islamic Republic, so this matter has turned into the people’s slogan in Public Demonstrations “Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic.” Immediately after the victory of the revolution, the Imam stressed the need to quickly define the type of political system, because several different visions had been put forward about naming the new regime, and the imam believed that the term “Islamic Republic of Iran” was the best after the people’s referendum on it. The result of the referendum was more than 98% of the Islamic Republic, and this day (April 1, 1979) was called the Day of the Islamic Republic.
Therefore, the Islamism of the system is due to the Iranian people being Muslim and the goals and beliefs of the founder and builder of the revolution and the choice of the people as well, and on this basis it is consistent and identical with the Iranian constitution. This constitution is based on “Islam” as the source of legislation for laws and decisions issued by the parliament, the “Guardian Council.”
This coincides with Imam Khomeini’s saying in one of his interviews: “We want the Islamic Republic, a republic that means the structure and form of government, and Islamic means the divine laws are the content of this structure.”
As for the type of government system, Article 1 of the Iranian constitution says: “The regime of government in Iran is an Islamic republic, approved by the Iranian people by a majority of 98.2% of those who had the right to vote, in a general referendum held on 11 and 12 of the month Farvardin in 1358 AH. , Corresponding to 1 and 2 Jumada al-Ula in the year 1399 Lunar Hijri (29 and 30 March 1979).
The people participated in this referendum based on their firm belief in the just and true rule of the Qur’an, after their triumphant Islamic revolution led by the great religious authority, “Grand Ayatollah Imam Khomeini”. Therefore, the Islamic nature of the republican system in Iran is something wanted by the founder of the revolution and supported by the people, and was approved in the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
