Minister of diaspora, ambassador Nabila Makram Abdel-Shahid expressed her pleasure being invited by the Cypriot Presidential Commissioner, “Fotis Fotio”, to deliver a pictorial speech at the Tenth World Youth Conference abroad for the second time in a row, which is taking place today afternoon in the presence and sponsorship of the Cypriot President, “Nikos”. Anastasiades. ”

Ambassador Nabila Makram began her speech by expressing her pride in participating for the second time in the conference that includes many expatriate Cypriot youth abroad, who are participating from different parts of the world under difficult circumstances the world is going through to express their love and pride in their motherland, praising the efforts of her Cypriot counterpart “Fotis Fotio ”in inviting a large number of young Cypriot expatriates to connect them to their home country, and to benefit from their ideas and experiences, especially as they represent the strength of their country abroad.
* Nostos.. One people, one destiny!
Ms ambassador reviewed the results of the “Reviving Roots – Nostos” initiative, which launched its first version in Alexandria in the presence of the heads of the three countries, Greece, Egypt and Cyprus. To revive the historical roots of the three countries, and to celebrate the Greek and Cypriot communities that were living in Egypt in the past or are still living where the three copies of the initiative were launched in Egypt, Australia and London, to benefit from the different experiences of the youth of the three countries, pointing out that this initiative deepened tripartite relations as part of cooperation for the Mediterranean countries, as well as the interdependence between the youth of the three countries, who became aware of being one people with one destiny.
The Minister also stressed the importance of the World Forum Youth Forum series organized by the Presidential Program Youth under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, to deepen the interaction between Egyptian youth and the world’s youth, as it witnessed wide participation from many Greek youth, noting that in the last version from the 2019 Forum, a working group of Egyptian, Greek and Cypriot youth was inaugurated, after holding a meeting with them on the sidelines of the Forum’s activities and in the presence of the Cypriot Presidential Commissioner Mr. Fotis Fotio, in order to deepen ties between the younger generations, expressing her wishes for continued communication between the youth of countries and to build on the roots of cooperation founded by parents.
