KingFut – Egyptian Premier League champions Al Ahly will face Cano Sport Academy of Equatorial Guinea in the first round of the CAF Champions League.
The Reds had thrashed South Sudanese side Atlabara 13-0 on aggregate in the preliminary round, which secured their place in the final qualifier round.
They will now face minnows Cano Sport Academy after the Equatoguinean club beat Ethiopia’s Mekelle 70 Enderta 3-2 on aggregate.
Cano Sport are taking part in their first-ever CAF Champions League campaign after winning the league title last season for the first time in their history.
They will host Al Ahly at the Pablo Boyas de Sampaca stadium in Malabo on 13, 14, or 15 September, before travelling to face the Reds in Alexandria two weeks later.
