The crown prince festival of camels will kick off on August 1st at King Faisal Park in Taif. Camel races will begin in the middle of the same month for a whole month over Taif Governorate for camel races during the Taif season of the year. the festival will be supervised by his Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
The Saudi Federation of Camels announced the allocation of financial prizes worth a total of 52 million riyals competing by a large group of domestic and international camel owners with 439 steps.
HRH Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, President of the International Federation of Camels, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince for his generous patronage in all sectors of the country and for the success of local and international events through ongoing support for programs, events and sports championships.
For his part, His Highness Prince Fahd Bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin misaad, President of the Saudi Federation of Camels, Vice President of the International Federation of Camels, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Crown Prince Festival, said in a press release that the festival comes in its second edition aiming to consolidate the heritage of camel racing and promote it in culture of Saudi Arabia and Arab and Islamic, in addition to the festival to be supportive of the tourism and economic movement in the Kingdom, which promotes community participation, establishes the heritage, publishes the national, and reflects the depth of civilization of the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that the festival had achieved in the first year of the presence of a significant income followed by the Guinness World Records after the participation in the festival more than 11 thousand trips.
