Omani Minister of Information Participates in a world Conference on Media Freedom in London

Minister of Information Dr. Abdul Moneim bin Mansour Al Hosni participated in the World Conference on Freedom of Information held in London on July 10 and 11, and was sponsored by Canadian Foreign Minister Christia Freeland and British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
The conference was attended by leaders and government officials, representatives of agencies and institutions from around the world, representatives of the media industry and international organizations representing journalists, media professionals, civil society, academia, editors, publishers and journalists 8from all over the world to discuss these issues and take international action. Challenges and their definition, and formulate appropriate solutions.
The conference also discussed several aspects, including protection and legal prosecution, national frameworks and legislation, how to apply them in practice, building confidence in the media, and countering deception, lies and the sustainability of the media and the media.
