The German Foreign Ministry updated travel and safety guidelines for Egypt on June 28, 2019. This update was carried out as a part of regular reviews of the travel and safety guidelines provided to German citizens on the basis of data and information available to the German security services.
Therefore, there is no longer a travel warning to the Taba area, but the warning still exists for the northern Sinai region and the border areas of Egypt. In addition, it is not recommended to take solo tours or land transportation in rural areas within the province of South Sinai.
It should be noted that no changes to the guidelines for the German air traffic control (Nautam) have been updated or modified by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.
