The European Union announced that a high-level official was currently roaming the Gulf and was visiting Iran to follow up the current crisis in this region .. In this regard EU revealed a statement of the Embassy in Cairo that the Secretary General of the European External Action Agency “Helga Maria” Schmidt began “Wednesday” 12 An official visit to the Gulf States, which was initiated in the United Arab Emirates followed by Oman and Qatar, in addition to visiting Iran.
EU said the visit was an opportunity to stress the EU’s call for breaking the tension in the region and finding ways to promote dialogue. The visit also aims to discuss maintaining the nuclear agreement with Iran as part of EU efforts to promote stability in the region. The agreement remains a key element in the nuclear nonproliferation structure and one of the major security pillars at the global and regional levels.
