British Secretary of State for International Trade in Egypt to unveil new agreements

Secretary of State for International Trade Dr Liam Fox arrived in Egypt as part of ongoing efforts to expand trade and investment links between the two counties and to unveil exciting new agreements in the transportation, healthcare and financial services sectors.
During his visit, the Secretary of State for International Trade will meet HE Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng Amr Nassar and HE Minister of Investment & International Cooperation, Dr Sahar Nasr to discuss new investments in Egypt.
This is Secretary of State Fox’s first visit to Egypt since his appointment in 2016. The visit forms part of his tour to North Africa as the UK continues to take forward steps towards achieving its commitment to be the number one G7 investor in Africa by 2022.
Ahead of his visit, Dr Fox said: ‘’The UK is committed to becoming the largest G7 investor in Africa by 2022 with a particular interest in strategic, job-creating sectors that will see our mutual economies grow. I look forward to establishing new partnerships during my visit to enhance the trade ties between Egypt, North Africa and the UK.”
