The minister of foreign affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, said that the Palestinian people have the right to claim their state after 70 years of conflict. “The impact of Omani foreign relations under changing conditions. Every problem has a solution, but everything is linked to the existence of an independent Palestinian state, which is strategic not only for the Palestinians but for all, and for the Palestinians to claim their rights, and we follow their cause with all credibility.”, said bin Alawi in a lecture at the Cultural Club.
He added: There is no doubt that Jerusalem is sacred for known reasons, and it is known for its sanctity to all religions. On the religious side, there is no problem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock and other holy sites, in addition to the Christian churches and the wall. We all demand that the property and the Jews call for clericalism. This is not possible for the two parties, and for 70 years we do not see the hope that it will be the property of Muslims or Jews, but it is a holy land that belongs to humanity.
Bin Alawi said: Israel is a state established by a UN resolution. The countries that won the World War II are its founders. There was a decision to split in two states. There was no chance of establishing a Palestinian state, and the Sultanate is not mediating but there is an Israeli demand. No hidden programs and the Sultanate of Oman is not a broker but just to facilitate the visits that took place first, the Palestinian president knows that the Israeli prime minister will come and vice versa.
He also said: There is a premise on the consensus on many things, including the issue of Jerusalem, settlements and security, which are complex issues not only geographically but also historically, even the Palestinians among themselves are not agreed either continue or decide. Though Israel is a strong military state And economic, they feel scared, through my visit there and would not drive due to fear, so the solution is a real agreement to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
