In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the Arab Republic of Egypt called for calm and escalation between Pakistan and India following the latest developments between the two countries in the wake of the terrorist attack in Indian Kashmir.
Egypt stressed the importance of giving priority to the language of dialogue between the two countries in order to settle all outstanding issues between them, and avoid escalation because of its negative effects on security and stability in both countries and South Asia in general. The statement also stressed Egypt’s confidence in the wisdom of the two countries to exercise maximum restraint to overcome the current crisis.
