The people of Iran celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution today.
Development, is the common goal of governments and the benchmark of community ranking in international interactions and competitions.
The performance of the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, in accordance with international standards, represents an amazing achievement in many development indicators.
Over the past 40 years, the Islamic Republic of Iran, in spite of numerous foreign and domestic barriers and foreign pressures and plots, such as the wave of terrorist attacks, the 8-year imposed war, the outrageous economic sanctions, based on the reports of internationally acclaimed centers, in all aspects of development, It has enjoyed tremendous progress and has been ranked in high-growth countries in international competitions.
According to the United Nations, Iran’s position on the human development index has steadily increased in the years following the victory of the revolution.
The position of the Iranian economy, with its 8th upgrade from 26 in 1979 (the year of the victory of the revolution), has grown to 18th place in 2017 in the world.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted that by 2021, Iran’s economy will be upgraded to the world’s 15th place.
The dependence of the country’s general budget on oil revenues has dropped from about 73 percent to about 28 percent, and non-oil exports have replaced the oil.
According to internationally acclaimed statistics, the growth rate in educational and scientific areas, health, economic and industrial infrastructure, social welfare and human development in Iran is significant, and is in some areas in the top ten countries of the world.
In the field of foreign policy, according to the principles of the constitution, and also according to the views of the Supreme Leader, the neighbors are in a special position.
In the international arena, Iran is now also an influential member.
The Islamic Republic of Iran plays a constructive role in regional security and stability.
We have played a decisive role in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Since the beginning of the revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has pursued a policy of engagement and cooperation with all the countries of the world – with the exception of the Zionist regime – on the basis of principles and according to well-known international principles.
Of course, in the field since the beginning of the victory of the revolution, there has been a hostile attitude of some countries and, above all, the United States of America.
